Since 2014 Purbanat became an established theatre company in the West Midlands and a creative home for new plays, performers and creative people. We discover, nurture, produce stories from the widest range of backgrounds and present our work to the highest possible standards.
Being a diverse led organisation, our drive is to consistently offer quality and creative activities. We also engage a diverse audience and practitioners in the West Midlands and beyond.
Recently we have been evolving and extending our creative activities beyond theatre to other creative activities, responding to feedback from communities and target audience.
Purbanat is in a right position to demonstrate our drive for constantly improving the quality of our work, and to share quality experience of creative activities that touch the hearts and minds of our targeted communities. We are looking forward to be a responsible partner of different art development agencies, including Arts Council of England, and to be able to offer and deliver quality art activities.
The mission for Purbanat is to deliver a program of arts-based activity, driven by the community for the benefit of others in the community, increasing opportunities for locally-based diaspora artists to practice their skills in a safe environment. Purbanat is an arts-focused Company that consistently offering a range of arts-focused workshop activities for children and young people aged 10 – 25 years. Activities include Dance, Drama, Media, through which we address things like: Confidence and self-esteem; health & well-being, mental health, and skills development.
